100 % Free From Pornography

Statistic show that 65% of men are watching pornography.

Maybe you have tried everything to not be part of that statistic. Still, no matter what you do or have done, you feel like you just can't get free from it.

I want to share some scriptures that I believe will highlight God's desire to see you walking in freedom! You see, the habits that may have taken you a decade to build up only takes God a fraction of a second to tare down! That's what happened to me, and I am more than convinced that He can do the same for you.

I can tell you with 100 % confidence that you were intricately designed by the Almighty God to overcome the bondage of pornography!

I know that for some of you it's hard to believe that the God of all creation is actually invested and concerned with seeing you walk this thing out. You may be thinking, that He’s forgiven you before, but certainly not this time. Or maybe,

I cant stop screwing up!
This sin is too big!
I'm too insignificant!
I just can't get free!
I don't deserve it!

But you know what, God has something for you in 2 Chronicles 20.

It’s a story of overwhelming circumstances meeting the goodness of our God. In it we find an large army coming against King Jehoshaphat and all of Judah. Knowing that he would be outnumbered, verse 3 says that,

Jehoshaphat was afraid and turned his attention to seek the LORD

Notice that he didn't simply ignore his human experience, but instead, embraced a heart-attitude that was fixed on God.

Sometimes, choosing where we are going to fix our attention is half the battle.

Next, we see king Jehoshaphat begin praying and calling out the sovereignty and promises of the Lord before he proclaims this powerful statement. He says in verse 12,

Nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.

I want to ask you, friends. Are your eyes on God or on your circumstances?

We find that all of Judah is gathered together when the Spirit of God speaks through a man that declares to them:

Thus says the LORD to you, ‘Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God’s.' v. 15

He goes on to declare:

You need not fight in this battle; station yourselves, stand and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf! v. 17

Guys, here's this awesome gem that i don't want you to miss. Verse 22 says,

When they began singing and praising, the LORD set ambushes against their enemies.

That word for singing in the Hebrew is 'rinnah' and it means a joyful shout! You have to understand that when you know that God has given you a promise to deliver you, the only thing you can do is cry out with joy and praise!

Brothers, you have been given that promise in the perfect one, Jesus Christ!

Just like God came in and destroyed the bondage of pornography over my life in a split second, I pray that he would do that same over yours. Just as God destroyed the great multitude coming against King Jehoshaphat, I declare that your joyful shout and praise would cause the Lord to move on your behalf.

But even when we are set free, sometimes our minds don’t line up with our spirit. We no longer have the desire for pornography but we are still attacked with thoughts and temptations. This often makes walking in continual purity really hard. I talk about that in this video below. See you there!

Continue to march.

Peace!
